Purchasing Officer Role in Geelong
Are you a skilled procurement professional looking to take your career to the next level?

This role presents an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic manufacturing team in Geelong, where you will be responsible for managing end-to-end RFQs and procurement packages, supplier selection, onboarding, and performance monitoring. You will also raise, manage, and track purchase orders in ERP, analyse requirements against stock metrics to make informed buying decisions, and maintain ERP master data and purchase order records.

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years' experience in a purchasing role within manufacturing or supply chain environments, with exposure to ERP/MRP systems, ideally SAP. They should be analytical, organised, and confident working with data, drawings, and multiple stakeholders. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to influence suppliers and internal teams to meet goals.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage end-to-end RFQs and procurement packages
* Supplier selection, onboarding, and performance monitoring
* Raise, manage, and track purchase orders in ERP
* Analyse requirements against stock metrics to make informed buying decisions
* Maintain ERP master data and purchase order records
* Coordinate deliveries and align procurement with business needs
* Collaborate with internal teams including Production, Finance, and Projects
* Support agile procurement projects under $250,000
* Create value stream maps for system and process development
* Uphold quality, safety, and governance standards
* Report and act on hazards or quality issues
* Maintain compliance with internal policies and audit frameworks


Requirements:

* 2-3 years' experience in a purchasing role within manufacturing or supply chain environments
* Exposure to ERP/MRP systems, ideally SAP
* Analytical, organised, and confident working with data, drawings, and multiple stakeholders
* Excellent communication skills
* Able to influence suppliers and internal teams to meet goals
