Our client is a well-established family-owned business operating a restaurant, winery and vineyard specialising in premium cool-climate wines, grown and produced in Gippsland and the Mornington Peninsula.
They are currently seeking a new Sous Chef for their restaurant operations in Red Hill South (Mornington Peninsula).
Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will assist in daily food preparation, execution and be an integral part of creating menus including Indian inspired menu and experiences for our guests. The menu is all about keeping it simple and delicious, including the kind of food guests love to eat, highlighting some amazing regional dishes, as well as re-imagined classics. Whether it be from the kitchen itself or from our extensive kitchen garden showcasing our homegrown produce, if you are looking for a role with diversity we'd love to hear from you.
Skills and qualification Required:
* Certificate III & IV in Commercial cookery (minimum)
* Experience as a Sous Chef or similar capacity
* Planning and organisational skills
* Enthusiasm and creative approach to providing high quality food
* An understanding of food safety and HACCP principles
* Availability to participate in a 5-day working roster of days and weekends.
* Ability to work under pressure in a high volume, fast paced environment.
Salary $ 70,000- $80,000 + Superannuation including meals.
