Reporting to: National Operations Manager and Chief Operating Officer About the role Providing technical advice and expertise to ensure the quality and overall production efficiency of the Dry Pasta Department meets Company standards. Reviewing and implementing work practices to ensure dry pasta manufacturing is standardised and in keeping with Company standards as agreed by the COO. Reviewing, developing and implementing standard operating procedures and training across the department to ensure personnel are at a high level of skill, knowledge, and capability. Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions. Providing general leadership to assigned personnel. Provide problem-solving and technical advice for assigned projects to ensure successful completion. Liaise with the Coordinator / Chief Operating Officer and engineering group to report on project progress and viability. Provide assistance to the maintenance department in the design and planning of engineering solutions for plant and associated equipment, including conducting reviews of the effectiveness of solutions. Ensure all projects and works comply with Company standards, legislative, WHS, EEO and Food Safety requirements. Support Dry Pasta, the Mill, Maintenance and Engineering in determining and executing preventative maintenance scheduling. Assist in the supervision and management of maintenance-related personnel as required on projects and from time to time. Create and maintain concise and accurate documents, files and records on allocated projects. Assist with new product trials and providing technical advice where required. Provide and maintain a safe working environment and safe systems of work in keeping with legislative requirements. General duties as required. Qualifications Proven “hands on” management style with ability to think and act strategically; Experience in FMCG environment; Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline (eg Engineering, Operations and Logistics) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Project management experience; Organisational development and change management; Strong problem solving and analytical skills; Broad knowledge of continuous improvement principles and ISO / HACCP systems; Intermediate or better software skills (Excel, Word, Outlook); General understanding of production planning and manufacturing practices; Working hours Nominal 7:30 am start Monday – Friday Some out of hours work will be required (including regular weekends). 38 hours per week plus additional hours as required.
