Integrating the disciplines of financial advisory, management consulting, investor relations, strategic communications, government affairs, risk analysis and talent advisory, Teneo's global Financial Advisory team guides companies and their stakeholders through periods of uncertainty and stress. We help address challenges a business faces, whether that is targeted performance improvement to Financial Advisory, or delivering a route to recover value; our focus is delivering certainty from uncertainty.

On 1 September 2025, Teneo acquired PwC Australia's Business Restructuring Service team. Our 80+ strong Australian team includes 18 Senior Managing Directors and Managing Directors, located across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

This is your opportunity to join our growing and ambitious team in Australia, part of Teneo's global integrated advisory offering.

The Role

As a Senior Consultant you will support the leadership team with:

* Client Service – Be a part of project teams on a diverse range of challenging engagements – advising corporates, creditors and other financial stakeholders on Restructuring Advisory, Contingency Planning and Insolvency projects.
* Business Development – Support business development activities and generating sales in the market.
* People and Leadership – Provide guidance and support to team members to create an inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Client Service

* Be a key team member on financial restructuring and insolvency engagements, including managing junior staff.
* Produce high quality deliverables within planned timescales.
* Develop distinctive client relationships.
* Support and contribute to client presentations.
* Help meet team performance targets.
* Apply understanding of financial engagement economics and engagement risk and quality management.

Knowledge Acquisition

* Builds client relationship skills, sector knowledge and leadership skills.
* Develop technical expertise, broader business advisory and people management skills.
* Understand the market, topical issues and our Restructuring propositions.

People and Leadership

* Support leadership in creating an inclusive environment.
* Provide timely feedback and identify development opportunities (e.g., mentoring/buddying, supervising less experienced colleagues).
* Continue to develop personal brand.

Business Development

* Own elements of and contribute to business development.
* Demonstrate an expanding network of external and internal Contacts to create opportunities.
* Assist in running a sector or marketing key account team, including participating in and organizing marketing events.
* Assist in preparing research documents, pitches and client presentations.

Key Skills & Experience

* Strong academic background to degree level.
* Qualified CA, or committed to completing the CA program.
* Analytical with strong IT skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
* Knowledge of Restructuring Services/Insolvency with directly relevant experience or transferable skills from a client-facing role within professional services.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working in a high-performance team.
* Commitment and willingness to work under pressure, long hours, always putting the client at the centre.
* Ambition to learn and develop further.
