With a strong focus on sustainability and economic development, the City of Salisbury is committed to creating opportunities that enhance liveability and prosperity across the northern region.The Role As a Senior Communication advisor, you will lead the creation and implementation of strategic communication plans to promote Council projects, events, programs and initiatives. As a leader in the Brand, Communications and Experience Division, you will provide high-level advice across the organisation, manage marketing campaigns, and ensure the City of Salisbury's brand and reputation are upheld across all channels.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide trusted advice to senior stakeholders and manage high-profile projects from concept to delivery.Provide high-level advice on communications, marketing and engagement to internal stakeholders.Manage projects from initiation to completion, including budgets and timelines.Oversee content development and scheduling across publications, events, social media, website and internal channels.Maintain strong working relationships across the organisation to support effective communication outcomes.Identify and manage complex or sensitive communication issues using a risk-aware approach.Manage external suppliers including photographers, videographers and media agencies.Skill & CompetenciesProven experience managing multiple communication and marketing plans and projects.Experience leading, motivating or mentoring team members.Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information.Ability to work under pressure, make autonomous decisions and adapt to changing priorities.Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence positive outcomes.Experience developing and implementing communication plans.Experience producing communications collateral across publications, internal communications, social media and web content.Why join us?Employees at City of Salisbury enjoy a benefit that includes health and wellness programs designed to support their overall well-being including skin checks, health seminars, flu vaccinations and free access to counselling sessions for you or your immediate family through our Employee Assistance Programs.Professional development opportunities.Inclusive and supportive workplace culture.Modern work environment.Further information is available by accessing the Position Description.People who are of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander identity as well as people of culturally diverse backgrounds and of diverse abilities are encouraged to apply.All enquiries can be made to Chelsea Kroepsch on 08 8406 8504, ckroepsch@salisbury.sa.gov.auApplications close 9am, 16th March 2026.#J-18808-Ljbffr
