HC Transport Driver
About the role: Norco is seeking an experienced Heavy Combination (HC) Truck Driver to join the team at our milk manufacturing and distribution site in Labrador, Gold Coast on a casual basis.
Reporting to the Transport Co-ordinator, you will ensure all operational and safety procedures are followed to deliver customer orders 100% in spec, in full and on time.
This role suits candidates who enjoy active work: you will unload milk at the depot upon arrival and reload empty crates before departure to the site.

What skills and experience are required to succeed in this role?
Hold an HC Licence – essential minimum requirement.
Physically fit for the manual aspect of the role (e.g., moving cargos/crates of approximately 100 kg) with an understanding of correct manual handling procedures.
Forklift licences – highly desirable for multitasking across various shift configurations.
Experience complying with CoR standards for work hours, fatigue management and load security.
Ability to plan and organise routes, taking into account other fleet scheduling activities.
Experience completing heavy vehicle checks, including monitoring trailer fridge motors.
Understanding of distributor order picking procedures and loading sequence for multiple orders.
Understanding of standard operating procedures for cartons, crates and pallets.
Punctual and reliable for early-morning, day or afternoon shifts (shifts commence between 4 am and 2 pm, Monday to Saturday and occasional Sundays).
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Model safe work practices and compliance with all Norco policies and procedures.
