What We Are Looking For
We're looking for an experienced support officer to join our high performing team on a temporary basis through to May 2026. Your experience in supporting financial systems, budgeting processes, or similar financial projects will prove valuable and set you up for success.
What Your Day Will Look Like
Supporting business partnering services provided by the Budgeting & Strategic Accounting team
Coordinating the analysis of budget inputs and ensuring collected data is accurate
Supporting the coordination of Council's annual budget and long term financial plan
Providing advice and assistance to non finance staff
Assisting with monthly operational reports
What You'll Need For Success
Diploma in Accounting or equivalent experience
Experience in a similar financial support position
Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Experience in a local government accounting setting
