THE ROLE The Paralegal will play a vital role in working closely with the Social Services Regulator's (SSR) Legal team to support the delivery of high-quality legal services through the provision of administrative support, matter management, document management, reporting and litigation support. It will be essential for the Paralegal to work across multiple information technology systems and ensure SSR meets its data management obligations. The role will also involve data entry into matter management systems, such as SharePoint, legal management databases, procurement and other IT systems. It will also involve the preparation of matter management reports. Success in this role is underpinned by strong attention to detial, a collaborative approach to teamwork and the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with a range of stakeholders. ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE Day-to-day your responsibilities will include: * Under general direction, provide assistance with office processes including data entry and management of documentation in SharePoint, Xakia, LawView, Procurement and other IT systems, preparing matter management reports, processing and following up invoices, and assisting lawyers to ensure external legal spend remains within agreed budget. * Perform a wide range of administrative tasks associated with accurate file and record management including photocopying, data entry, preparation and production of court books, and assembling instructions to law firms and briefs to counsel. * Answer queries, provide timely advice and undertake general follow up action as required, including correctly redirecting incoming mail and queries.
