The Role
An opportunity has become available for an Administration Officer (Identified - Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide administration support to clinical business units that provide community-based services
- Complete patient registrations and ensure up to date and ongoing accuracy of patient related hospital information systems
- Organise and coordinate patient appointment activities, including the arrival of patients, booking appointments and management of cancellations/rescheduling of clinics
- Provide assistance to staff in clinics within the work unit as directed
- Conduct patient interviews to verify information and financial details to complete new arrival Patient Election Forms where applicable
About you
**To be successful in this position you will require**:
- Be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person
- Under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 that applicants are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islanders
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough) and COVID 19
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed

Salary
- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $68 740 - $76 828 per annum

The Better Cardiac Care Program is designed to provide health equity to First Nations people. The model comprises a multidisciplinary team, including Clinical Nurse Consultant, Indigenous Health Worker and Pharmacist, supporting First Nations people with heart disease. Based in Robina.
