We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Conference and Events Coordinator to join our team. This is a part-time position with a minimum of 16 hours per week guaranteed.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality setting would be an asset.
Key Responsibilities:
* Seek and secure conference and events business through sales calls, telesales and on-site guest relations activities.
* Create inspiring and fun activities and culinary promotional programs for guests.
* Develop and work towards a marketing budget for conference and events.
* Contact and develop potential leads, meeting targets set by the General Manager.
* Create internal and external correspondence, ensuring clear and concise communication within time restrictions.
* Deliver the venue's product to potential clients, providing quotations, site inspections and sales information.
* Prepare and represent the venue at exhibitions and trade shows.
* Support the Front Office with administration tasks, including cash and electronic banking duties.
* Maintain relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
* Promote the venue to clients, working with the Front Office to meet occupancy projections.
