Global Talent Partner| Banking and Financial Services Our client is a leading international bank in Corporate and Institutional banking field. They are looking for a Relationship Manager to join their fast-growing Sydney branch.
Key Responsibilities:
Take proactive ownership of a diversified portfolio of domestic and international corporate and institutional clients, gaining a deep understanding of their financial positions and borrowing requirements.
Originate new credit proposals and restructure existing facilities as needed to optimize portfolio performance and client outcomes.
Prepare comprehensive credit and financial analyses in line with the Bank’s policies, procedures, and risk appetite.
Conduct industry research and stay up to date with relevant regulatory changes and their potential impact on clients and portfolio strategy.
Perform initial Know Your Customer (KYC) due diligence and draft detailed credit submissions for review by the Credit Risk department, ensuring compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory standards.
Manage post-settlement client relationships, monitor ongoing financial performance, and identify early signs of credit deterioration or default risk.
Participate in industry events and networking activities to support business development and enhance the Bank’s market presence.
Provide regular reporting and strategic feedback to senior management, supporting informed decision-making and portfolio oversight.
Candidate Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Relationship Management role within Banking or Financial Services.
Strong knowledge of corporate and institutional lending products, credit structuring, and financial analysis.
Working knowledge of AML/CTF and KYC requirements for large corporate clients, along with familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., APRA, AUSTRAC, ASIC, AFCA, ACCC).
Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, with effective marketing and commercial negotiation skills.
Self-motivated and capable of operating independently in a dynamic and broad-based role, with a strong sense of accountability and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of stakeholders.
