Job Title: Mechanic
We are seeking a skilled and qualified mechanic to carry out repairs and maintenance on Council vehicles, plant, and equipment. The role includes both scheduled and unscheduled servicing, light fabrication, welding, and auto electrical work.
Your Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out routine maintenance tasks on Council vehicles, plant, and equipment.
2. Perform scheduled and unscheduled repairs as required.
3. Conduct light fabrication and welding tasks as necessary.
4. Undertake auto electrical work to ensure all vehicles and equipment are functioning properly.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a mechanical trade with a focus on vehicle and equipment maintenance.
* Highly developed problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Physical stamina to perform manual tasks for extended periods.
