Vehicle Maintenance Specialist

Job Responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair complex vehicle problems using manual and computerized diagnostic methods.
* Explain mechanical problems and possible solutions to customers.
* Plan work and testing procedures using charts, experience, and other organizational methods.
* Test parts and systems to ensure they work correctly.
* Ensure all critical parts are checked and tested.
* Perform basic automotive care, including changing oil and rotating tires.
* Repair or replace worn, old, or defective parts of a vehicle.
Requirements
* A US Secret or AUS NV-1 Clearance.
* A US or Australian certified vehicle mechanic.
* A minimum of five years of experience in vehicle maintenance.
* A high school diploma, and further specialized training in automotive service technology.
* An associate degree with classes in math, electronics, or auto repair is desired.

Location
This role will be located in Alice Springs, at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space. The position is expected to be onsite 100% of the time.
