**The Role**
As an APS 6 Cost Recovery Officer you will work in a team that manages cost recovery activities across Defence. Your key duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of cost recovery tools and models;
- Draft and develop corporate documents including guidelines and operating procedures;
- Facilitate the annual Portfolio Charging Survey;
- Review and provide advice to stakeholders on domestic and international agreements;
- Support senior CCB team members in the preparation of briefs for decision makers.
**About our Team**
The Capability Costing Branch works in partnership with the Defence community to drive better practice and transform capability costing. The Branch connects and supports the professional costing community by developing policy and technical solutions, providing strategic and technical costing support and advice, and building a sustainable costing workforce.
Within the Branch is the Cost Recovery Directorate which:
- Provides support and advice to business areas on cost recovery development;
- Provides technical expertise for cost recovery activities and development of international agreements; and
- Is working to improve the consistency and methodology of charging rates across Defence.
The Capability Costing Branch is growing and expanding to support Defence. We are looking for people who have the following skills and attributes:
