About the Role:
DCC is seeking a Finance Manager who will be responsible for leading and controlling the day-to-day finance and payroll operations of DCC Industry Group across multiple legal entities, and for ensuring that all financial processes are compliant, accurate, audit-ready and scalable. This role is the key operational link between the CFO and the finance and payroll teams, translating strategic priorities, risk controls and growth initiatives into disciplined execution.
The key responsibilities of this role will include:
* Operation finance and team leadership, ensuring appropriate segregation of duties, review controls and documentation standards are applied.
* Payroll governance and workforce cost control involving the full payroll management for staff under SCHADS and other awards.
* Financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting through preparation and presentation of comprehensive monthly financial reports to senior management, including cash flow forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis.
* Audit, year-end accounts and external accountants; this will include leading preparation for external audits across all group entities, ensuring working papers, reconciliations and schedules are complete and audit-ready, and liaising with auditors and external accountants.
* ATO and statutory compliance across all entities, including BAS, PAYGW, PAYGI, Superannuation and STP.
* Ensure full compliance with payroll tax, Workcover, Qleave and other relevant regulatory.
* Financial controls, risk and governance through proactively identifying control weaknesses, implementing mitigation strategies, maintaining finance risk registers, and contributing to enterprise risk frameworks.
* System, process and scalability through improved automation, reporting efficiency, error prevention and support with system implementations/upgrades.
* Assist business unit managers to obtain relevant financial information, advice and modelling to support business unit reporting, growth proposals and forward planning.
* Provide financial analysis and cost modelling for tenders and funding submissions.
* Culture, quality and continuous improvement, including mentorship, capability building, recruitment, training, complaint-handling, and promoting a culture of accountability, learning and service excellence.

Requirements/Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in finance and accounting or business and commerce
* Minimum 5 years' experience in leadership within finance, preferably within Community Services sector
* Demonstrated experience using Employment Hero Payroll and Xero Accounting Software.
* Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, Fair Work compliance, and superannuation.
* Understanding of and experience interpreting and applying the SCHADS Award or similar industrial instruments.
* High level of accuracy, attention to detail, analytical skills and professional judgement.
* Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
* CPA/CA Certified (desirable)
* Satisfactory National Police Check or willing to obtain
* Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or willing to obtain
* Full working rights in Australia
* Satisfactory LCS outcome or willing to obtain
