Description
The Strength and Conditioning Coordinator (Part-time 1 Year Fixed Term Contract) will lead on all matters relating to strength, conditioning and fitness both in developing our aspirational athletes and sports teams as well as instilling a whole school culture of athletic development and fitness by providing programs that promote students' development of their physical and emotional wellbeing.
Ideal Candidate
* A comprehensive understanding of the specific fitness and functional movement requirements for a diverse range of sports
* Extensive knowledge and experience in athlete development
* Experience working with young adolescents in a school setting
* Understanding of mentoring, supporting and encouraging students
* Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
* Engaging and enthusiastic coaching style with effective communication skills
* Demonstrated ability to work with various levels of abilities across various age groups
* Flexibility and the ability to adapt and operate effectively in a demanding and changing environment
* An understanding of WHS responsibilities
* Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver engaging and effective training sessions
* Appropriate skills and qualifications relating to your chosen sport
* Hold a current First Aid Certificate (or a willingness to obtain prior to start date)
* Current Working with Children clearance (or a willingness to obtain prior to start date)
