Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Chef/Cook to join our team at Burgerooze in Bacchus Marsh. As a Cook, you will play a key role in preparing and presenting our signature burgers, sides, and other menu items with precision and care. Your creativity and attention to detail will contribute to maintaining our high standards of food quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with Burgerooze's recipes and standards
Ensure food preparation areas are clean, hygienic, and organized at all times
Monitor inventory levels and order ingredients as needed to maintain kitchen stock
Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure timely and efficient service during busy periods
Follow proper food handling and safety guidelines to minimize risks and maintain a safe working environment
Assist in developing new menu items and specials based on customer preferences and seasonal availability
Maintain a positive and professional approach with team members and customers
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Cook or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Solid understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
