About the role
Are you driven to protect children and people with disability by ensuring allegations and complaints are handled with care, rigour and fairness? We're seeking a Safeguarding Investigations and Complaints Officer to join our passionate Quality, Risk and Practice team. You'll have the chance to use your expertise to influence real change and help protect the safety and wellbeing of those who need it most.
In this pivotal role, you will lead and coordinate investigations, work closely with regulators, and help embed safeguarding best practice across our organisation — ensuring we provide safe, high-quality services every day.
Your days will be dynamic and meaningful. You will:
Receive, assess and manage allegations relating to Reportable Conduct and NDIS Reportable Incidents in line with legislative and policy requirements.
Conduct or coordinate fair, thorough and impartial investigations using best practice, trauma-informed approaches.
Prepare clear, detailed investigation reports with findings and recommendations.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Highlight trends and risks, and provide insights to strengthen safeguarding practice.
Desired Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring:
A degree in Social Work, Psychology, Law — or a related discipline
Demonstrated experience investigating complex reportable conduct, complaints and/or NDIS incidents.
Experience interviewing children, young people and/or people with disability with a trauma-informed, person-centred approach.
Strong ability to analyse complex information and prepare clear, cogent reports and recommendations.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, proactive approach
Integrity, discretion and the ability to manage sensitive information confidentially.
Current Criminal History Check, NSW Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check and valid NSW Driver's Licence
