About the Role

As a Trade Assistant, you will be responsible for providing mechanical support to all trades personnel working on the Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) fleet.

You will assist in the diagnosis and rectification of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks, execute scheduled servicing on HME, including mobilisation of equipment for in-pit services, clean machinery, components, and subparts, operate the tool store, supervise contract personnel, contribute to the site Continuous Improvements programme, liaise with warehouse and tool store personnel, and assist with the inspection and change out of ground engaging tools (GET) within the AHS pit environment.

About You
">
To be successful in this role, you will have basic mechanical aptitude and ideally previous experience in a mechanical workshop and in the operation of mobile equipment.

Prior experience with GET inspections and replacement is advantageous.
