We are an accounting firm based in Cairns, Far North Queensland. Due to the fast growth of the firm and an internal promotion, we are seeking a motivated and energetic colleague to join our team at our Cairns office.
About the role
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
* Liaising with clients, including document collation;
* Preparing invoices, and debtor management;
* Assisting clients to access accounting and ATO software;
* Attending to general communication with ATO and ASIC;
* Liaising with, and providing administrative support to Indigenous Corporations;
* Providing simple IT support to staff members;
* Assisting the team of accountants with ad-hoc tasks; and
* Other general administrative duties as required.

Skills and experience
Requirements:
* Excellence with the Microsoft Office suite;
* Adept at learning new software;
* Must be proactive, organised and be self-motivated; and
* Strong communication skills.
Desirable:
* Experience in a professional environment;
* Sound written and oral communication skills in a professional setting;
* Beginner to intermediate IT skills; and
* Familiarity with people from regional and remote communities.
