North Queensland X-Ray Services is an independent Medical Imaging practice located in Townsville with a strong focus on patient care looking for a patient-focused individual to join our administrative team.
About the role:
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic administration professional to provide high-level reception duties and administrative services whilst ensuring the delivery of professional, caring, and friendly services to patients and referrers.
Duties include:
* Handle all face-to-face and over the phone patient registrations, bookings, triage and queries as the first point of contact within the clinic providing information on procedures and any required preparation.
* Receive payments, issue receipts, complete all billing (including Medicare) and invoicing for patients.
* Operate our booking system and ensure the smooth-running of the front office.
* Working closely with technical staff and our radiologists to achieve smooth patient flow.
* Liaising with referrers.
* Assist with any general office administration activities as required, such as, outbound calls, data entry and reporting as delegated by your manager.
Essential skills and experience:
* Previous reception experience highly regarded.
* Ensures positive and effective communication with patients, clinicians, and management.
* Strong customer focus and demonstrate compassion towards patients.
* Positive attitude
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
* Good IT skills.
* Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
* Excellent time management skills
* Neat, tidy, and professional presentation
* Driver’s license essential
* Ability to work a rotating roster (Shifts vary between 7:30am- 6pm Monday-Friday and Saturdays 8am-1.30pm)
Desirable skills:
* Radiology/Medical reception experience.
* Experience with Comrad RIS
* On-site training and support will be provided as required.
