About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (Grade 5) with Scrub/Scout experience to support the Day Surgery Unit at Mackay Base Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy perioperative team within a large regional hospital, delivering high-quality surgical care in a fast-paced environment.
You will work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, and theatre staff to ensure safe surgical procedures and efficient theatre operations. The role involves preparing theatre equipment, maintaining sterile technique, and supporting surgical teams during procedures

Requirements
* Registered Nurse (RN) - Nurse Grade 5
* Scrub/Scout experience (mandatory)
* Strong perioperative nursing skills
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary surgical team
Desirable Experience
* Knowledge of ieMR and proficiency in using the system
* Previous experience working in Australia, QLD Health, and/or Mackay HHS

Mackay Base Hospital is a large regional referral hospital within the Mackay Hospital and Health Service. The Day Surgery Unit supports a wide range of elective and short-stay surgical procedures across multiple specialties, working closely with the main theatre complex to deliver efficient perioperative care.
