About The Role
Assists the Maintenance Supervisor to provide a quality, cost-effective maintenance service to the Department's clients within a large healthcare facility, covering a diverse range of buildings.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain water supply systems, including tanks, pipes, taps, filters, valves, and sterilization procedures.
2. Manage roofing materials and structures such as iron, tile, copper, flashings, spouting, and downpipes.
3. Oversee drainage systems for stormwater and sewerage, using brass, iron, plastic, and earthenware components.
4. Maintain sewerage systems, including flusher tanks, pipework, valves, cisterns, pans, and urinals.
5. Handle mechanical services involving radiators, heating water pipework, heat exchangers, and valves.
6. Perform maintenance on equipment such as pan sanitizers, boiling water units, gas appliances, fluid coolers, and cooling towers; participate in morning, afternoon, and on-call rosters.
Skills & Experience
* Trade-qualified plumber with experience in a commercial setting.
* Skilled in maintaining plumbing services within large buildings.
* Proficient in fault finding, maintaining engineering equipment, and implementing preventative maintenance routines.
* Valid driver's license and knowledge of OHS systems and safe work practices.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly at various levels.
* High initiative and flexibility to adapt to changing work commitments.
