Role Description
This is an on-site, full-time role based in Cowes, VIC. The Head Brewer will oversee the brewery's daily operations, including recipe development, brewing, fermenting, cellaring, packaging, and quality control. Responsibilities include managing brewing schedules, maintaining equipment, monitoring inventory, and ensuring compliance with all safety and sanitation standards. The Head Brewer will also lead a team and play a key role in creating innovative and high-quality beer products that align with Ocean Reach Brewing's vision and standards.
Qualifications
* Strong knowledge and experience in brewing techniques, recipe formulation, and quality control.
* Expertise in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting within a brewing facility.
* Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a production team effectively.
* Familiarity with safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance in a brewery environment.
* Effective organizational and time-management skills to maintain production schedules and manage inventory efficiently.
* Passion for craft beer and a commitment to innovation and sustainability.
* Bachelor's degree in Brewing Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field is a plus but not mandatory.
