Cladding Creations is growing, and we're seeking an experienced Drafting Manager to lead our drafting and design division at our Burleigh Heads office. Who We're Looking For
You are a technically strong architectural draftsperson with leadership experience and a passion for excellence. You bring a deep understanding of façade systems, aluminium cladding, and shop‑drawing production, along with the organisational and communication skills needed to oversee an efficient drafting function.
Ideally, you will
* Have 5+ years of experience in architectural drafting (façade / cladding experience highly desirable) with proven management experience
* Be highly proficient in AutoCAD (required)
* Have strong experience with Revit or 3D modelling software
* Have excellent communication and organisational skills
* Be detail‑focused, quality‑driven, and technically meticulous
* Have proven experience mentoring or leading other drafters (or a clear desire to step into this space)
* Be proactive, solution‑focused, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines
What You'll Be Doing
* Leading, guiding, and supporting the drafting team
* Scheduling, delegating, and organising drafting workloads
* Undertaking advanced drafting and technical design work
* Producing and reviewing shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation drawings for aluminium cladding and façade systems
* Ensuring all drawing packages are complete, accurate, and production‑ready
* Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders.
* Providing technical clarity and resolving design‑related queries
* Ensuring drafting standards, templates, and documentation remain consistent and high‑quality
* Contributing to continuous improvement across drafting workflows
Please note: This role does not involve dealing directly with external clients such as builders or architects, but may require communication with material suppliers.
