Attwood Marshall Lawyers – Coolangatta QLD
The Role
Reporting to the Accounts Manager and CFO, we are seeking an experienced Accounts Officer (legal industry desired) to join our dedicated Accounts Department, providing exceptional accounting services to our staff and clients.
Responsibilities
- Complete daily bank reconciliations across trust and general accounts in LEAP and Xero
- Daily processing of Trust and General account receipts and payments via LEAP, Xero and Commbiz
- Provide clients, staff, management and stakeholders with accurate and timely accounting information as required
- Assist in the weekly processing of payroll and superannuation via Xero
- Management of aged debtor procedures
- Assist in EOM processes
- Maintain accurate records and provide analysis and reporting as requested
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years in an Accounts Officer role (legal and trust accounting experience highly preferred)
- Experience using LEAP and Xero
- Exposure to law society regulations and annual audits
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting/Bookkeeping or Business Administration
- Understanding of GST and general accounting principles
- A high attention to detail, transactional accuracy, and the ability to problem solve, often under demanding situations
- Excellent communication and client liaison skills
- Proactive and responsible with a strong work ethic
- The flexibility to work at any of our offices (Coolangatta, Kingscliff, Robina and Southport) if required
- Ability to prioritise competing tasks in a demanding office environment, often within strict deadlines

Attwood Marshall Lawyers has modern, spacious, well-positioned offices in Coolangatta, Robina, Southport, Kingscliff, Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne.
Employment
This full time position is based at our Coolangatta office. There may be instances where you will be required to work from our other offices.
