About the Role
This is a dual-position role, working a total of 69 hours per fortnight:
* Chef – 40 hours per fortnight
o Week 1: Wednesday, Thursday
o Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
* Catering Assistant – 29 hours per fortnight
o Week 1: Friday, Saturday
o Week 2: Friday, Saturday
What You'll Do
* Preparing and presenting varied, nourishing meals that meet dietary requirements and preferences
* Ensuring a safe, clean and efficient kitchen environment aligned with hygiene and compliance standards
* Working with catering staff, residents and care teams to enhance meal services
* Assisting with stock control, food safety, and daily kitchen operations
* Supporting a positive, team-focused kitchen culture
What You'll Bring
* A relevant trade qualification (Cert III or Cert IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent)
* Experience in a commercial kitchen, ideally aged care or large-scale catering
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Knowledge of safe food handling and WHS requirements
* A valid Queensland Driver Licence
* Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
