We're looking for a Seed Quality Lab Manager to join us on our site in Holeby (Denmark). Would you like to lead and manage all activities in our local Seed Quality Laboratories? Your key responsibilities
Laboratory operations & quality management
* You organize and oversee all activities in the laboratory units to ensure timely and high-quality analysis.
* You maintain compliance with relevant quality standards, certifications, and accreditations (including ISTA).
* You ensure appropriate documentation, procedures, and quality management systems are updated and maintained.
* You deliver reliable analysis data through stringent quality control and error management.
* You ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and operation of all lab equipment.
Technical & method development
* You lead method development and continuous optimization to align with scientific progress and business needs.
* You drive innovation and support development of new tools/technologies through collaboration with the Seed Technology department.
* You conduct seed quality tests using up-to-date methodologies within allocated budgets.
Data & process management
* You deliver process performance indicators (PPIs) and analyze them to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
* You ensure data integrity, appropriate handling of test results, and adherence to internal/external data reporting requirements.
* You collaborate in the development and maintenance of relevant IT work tools for efficient lab operations.
Strategic & cross-functional collaboration
* You work closely with R&D, production, product development, and factory teams to prioritize and deliver critical seed quality data.
* You evaluate the relevance and necessity of test demand in line with business goals and quality assurance needs.
* You contribute to resource planning and capacity alignment based on incoming campaign requirements.
* You prepare and manage the lab budget and take care of invoicing.
* You support global harmonization of laboratory practices.
* You lead and motivate a team of laboratory professionals, ensuring skill development, training, and performance management.
* You maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive working environment across lab teams.
* You foster a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
Your profile
* You have an education or relevant experience in agronomy, biotechnology, or a related scientific area, or in a quality laboratory.
* You're fluent in English and Danish.
* You have experience with regulatory compliance.
* You have excellent leadership and project management skills.
* You have an independent, structured and proactive approach to tasks.
* You have great data analysis skills, with an excellent eye for details and quality.
* You're an effective communicator and (cross-functional) collaborator.
* You're able to stay organized and calm under pressure.
* You're change-driven and innovation-oriented.
