We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operator, preferably with a background in the Bus, or Heavy Vehicle Industry but would not exclude anyone with a strong mechanical or related parts background. The core purpose of the Warehouse Operator role is to consistently delight and satisfy our customers through the timely interpretation and provision of their parts needs – both internally and externally. We operate Pentana/ERA systems and sound knowledge of these is advantageous.
This is a hands-on role, working closely with our Warehouse and Workshop team in Cairns while reporting directly to the National Parts Manager.
Key Accountabilities are but not limited to –
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
• Ensure obligations under the National Heavy Vehicle Law, Chain of Responsibility (CoR) are adhered to
• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
• Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick stock, unload trucks, containers and crates, label stock, and locate in store)
• Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisation
• Report any discrepancies
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
• Conduct pre-start checks and operate warehouse vehicles and equipment
Skills and experience –
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Able to lift heavy objects
• Current forklift licence desirable
• Excellent Communication skills Written and Oral
