About the Role: As a skilled contract strategist, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic sourcing and category management initiatives. This position involves collaborating with the Contracts Superintendent to identify and implement effective procurement strategies that enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the development and execution of strategic sourcing plans to achieve cost savings and improve contract management processes.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to drive better outcomes.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate optimal pricing and terms.
* Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures related to procurement and contract management.
* Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of procurement strategies and make data-driven decisions.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in a field such as law, commerce, or business.
* At least 2 years of experience delivering strategic sourcing and category management initiatives.
* Professional certification in procurement or contract management (e.g., CIPSA, ASCI).
* Excellent commercial, procurement, contract management, and supply chain skills.
* Demonstrated ability to deliver cost savings and operational improvements.
* Familiarity with business intelligence tools and SAP ERP systems.
