This role oversees multiple teams focused on new business, expansion, and cross-sell, driving both strategy and execution. About The Role
Strategic Leadership & Execution
* Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy for the SMB segment, translating vision into actionable plans.
* Partner with cross-functional leaders (Account Management, CS, Renewals, Partnerships, Biz Dev, Marketing, Product, Rev Ops, Legal, Security) to ensure alignment across the customer lifecycle.
* Collaborate regionally and globally with sales leaders to optimize GTM strategy and maximize customer ROI.
Team Development & Culture
* Hire, onboard, develop, and retain top sales and sales leadership talent.
* Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, transparency, and high performance.
* Coach and mentor Sales Managers, supporting their growth and success.
Operational Excellence
* Accurately forecast and track key metrics to ensure predictable, consistent results.
* Analyze sales data and market trends to identify growth opportunities and scale successes.
* Design, build, and execute the SMB business plan, balancing short-term wins with long-term growth.
Customer-Centric Growth
* Drive alignment between GTM strategy and customer journeys.
* Lead the team to exceed targets in new business, expansion, and cross-sell.
* Identify and implement operational improvements to enhance the customer experience.
Requirements
* 8+ years' leadership experience building and running successful SaaS sales teams, with direct contributions to GTM strategy and operations.
* Deep expertise in new business acquisition, expansion, and cross-sell motions.
* Proven cross-functional leadership and influencing skills.
* Consistent record of exceeding targets as both a leader and individual contributor.
* Strong operational skills: business planning, progress tracking, and problem-solving.
* Technically adept; comfortable selling to C-level and line-of-business executives.
* Thrives in fast-paced, high-change environments; brings optimism, creativity, and teamwork.
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
* Mastery of consultative/solution selling methodologies (CoM, MEDDIC, Challenger, Solution Selling, Sandler).
