Job Description
As a Mental Health Clinician, you'll play a key role in providing high-quality counselling and supporting the mental health and wellbeing of older individuals. Enjoy flexible, family-friendly work conditions and competitive pay .
* Providing high-quality counselling (individual and group settings) for residents in aged care facilities, helping them navigate mental health challenges, assessing and addressing individual needs ethically and professionally.
* Raising mental health awareness among aged care staff, families, and carers to foster a supportive environment.
* Collaborating with aged care facilities, families, carers, and other stakeholders for holistic mental wellbeing support.
* Engaging in supervision and professional development for continuous growth and service excellence.

About You
We seek someone with a strong mental health background and a passion for supporting older adults:
* Experience in individual counselling, focusing on mental health, trauma, and family conflict.
* Knowledge of recovery principles, social models of health, and community networks.
* Familiarity with therapeutic approaches like ACT, mindfulness, and brief therapy.
* Experience working with older adults (highly regarded but not essential).
* Proficiency in computer applications (Word, Email, databases).
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Counselling, Social Work, Nursing, or similar.
* Relevant annual registration and/or professional membership.
* Experience with older adults (highly regarded but not essential).
