Quality Business Partner - Southern Team
We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Quality Business Partner with experience in the private hospital sector to join our team on a part‑time basis with a minimum 45 hours per fortnight.
The role is based from our Melbourne Support office.

Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, Director of Clinical Governance, the Quality Business Partner - Southern Team will support and drive the compliance of governance and quality initiatives across our six Southern Team facilities.
Promote, facilitate and embed quality improvement initiatives and evidence that ensures compliance with the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHS)
Develop procedures and guidelines and review processes to ensure that the policies and procedures reflect contemporary requirements
Lead best practice processes in the collection of clinical data reporting and monitoring
Utilise the NSQHS Standards and the policy and procedure framework to mitigate and support strategic and operational risks by ensuring that consideration of risk is embedded in registers
Review and enhance organisational processes, including those involving accreditation standards, evidence‑based practice and patient safety initiatives to achieve measurable quality outcomes
Collaborate with GM/DONs and assist with accreditation preparation, client profiles, annual self‑assessment submissions and evidence as part of the quality framework
Assist GM/DONs with clinical incident management
Prepare presentation for formal committees for consistency of reporting and information shared as part of the NSQHS Standards
Travel to all six Nexus Southern Team facilities is a requirement – Greater Melbourne, Adelaide and Hobart About You: Experience in Quality Management and auditing in a clinical setting or previous GM/DON / Hospital Manager experience essential
Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) preferred or equivalent health sciences / professional qualification and experience.
Solid understanding of the NSQHSS and the relevance and implication to clinical practice
Aware of the relevant legislative requirements and governing body reporting responsibilities of the private healthcare system
Knowledge and understanding of contemporary clinical risk management strategies
Sound MS Office skills and Risk and Quality platforms
A passion for education, mentoring and leadership
Proactive change and project management skills
Effective and impactful communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving skills
