Support Worker Role Summary
We're seeking compassionate and dedicated support workers to provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to disabled clients in supported independent living settings.
This casual role involves assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
* Accompany clients to appointments, social activities, and community events
* Provide emotional support and companionship to help clients maintain their independence and quality of life
* Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure continuity of care
* Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety protocols
* Community access shifts available for team members who enjoy supporting participants in social, recreational and community-based outings
Requirements:
* A Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Disability Support, or a related field is desirable
* Previous experience working in the aged care or disability support sector, preferably in a similar role
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and provide compassionate care
* A genuine commitment to promoting the independence, dignity, and wellbeing of disabled individuals
* A current driver's licence and reliable mode of transportation
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
* A valid first aid certificate and police check are essential
