The Faculty of Arts seeks to appoint a Lecturer (Level B) in Philosophy with demonstrated expertise in Daoist philosophy. The role will make significant contributions to the Philosophy major, the Human Rights major, and the Philosophy stream within the Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE) degree, and is best suited to candidates with a clear and established disciplinary alignment across several of these areas.
The successful candidate will bring a strong record of tertiary teaching, curriculum and subject development, and scholarly research activity, with evidence of refereed publications and the ability to contribute to an active collegiate research culture. Responsibilities include subject coordination, preparation and delivery of lectures, tutorials and seminars, honours and postgraduate supervision, assessment, and ongoing departmental and Faculty service. A demonstrated capacity to engage students across undergraduate and postgraduate levels, while sustaining an independent and collaborative research profile, will be essential.
