Job Description
The Field Service Technician I is responsible for delivering high-quality customer service, performing preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of Hach devices located at our customer sites.
This role involves a combination of municipal (drinking and wastewater treatment facilities) and industrial (power plants and food and beverage plants) customer bases.
A Typical Day
* Performing preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of instrumentation using established company standard work.
* Promoting a positive customer experience and serving as on-site customer contact for technical and service-related problems.
* Submitting prompt, accurate service reports that affect billing, inventory, instrument history, and instrument failure.
* Following safe work practices according to company policy.
* Executing administrative activities in support of service visits.
This position is based in Albany and supports our Eastern US customer base. Daily travel across the Northeast region, including 2-3 overnight stays per week with company-paid accommodations and meals.
Requirements
* Associates or Technical degree preferred, or combination of education and experience.
* Experience with preventative maintenance and technical diagnostics/repair – basic mechanical/electrical aptitude is a must.
* 2 or more years of field service experience and/or customer-facing roles preferred.
* Valid Driver's License and clean driving record required.
Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this role is $30.00 - $32.00 USD per hour. This job is also eligible for Incentive Pay.
