AAA Egg Company is also actively involved in the local community, supporting various charities and initiatives.Role OverviewAAA Egg Company Pty Ltd is looking for a highly skilled and qualified agricultural technician to work full-time on farms located in Bullsbrook, Muchea, Gingin and Hill River.ResponsibilitiesLead and monitor farm workers based on the given activities by the Farm Manager or Farm 2IC.Provide technical services and maintenance of Big Dutchman electronics & mechanical equipment.Provide technical support, breakdown & fault analysis & troubleshooting.Provide technical and operation training to other technicians, fitters, team sites.Plan and perform overall preventative and corrective maintenance.Perform testing, commissioning and technical training on all sites.Perform upgrades and site integrations.Be on call on a rostered rotating system to attend breakdowns after normal hours.Coordinate site Big Dutchman technical upgrades.Plan and supervise contractors during upgrades, servicing, rectification and maintenance on all sites.Administer different types of vaccines to the birds via drinking water, spray, intramuscular, and ocular.Do shed checks around the sheds, keep daily farm records and immediately report to Manager or 2IC if there are problems such as chicken health or mortality, broken equipment, etc.Facilitate brooding; monitor chick behaviour, mortality trend, temperature, humidity, ammonia level, ventilation, feed and water availability and others.Facilitate shifting of birds to other AAA Layer Farms, ensuring proper vaccination and correct number before transferring the birds to the truck using bird trolleys.Ensure that Australian Standard on Animal Welfare and Biosecurity is being practiced in all farm activities.Daily monitor flock health, feed, water, ventilation and mortality.Ensure biosecurity protocols of the farm are followed by staff and visitors.Do feed inventory, forecasting, and ordering.Daily monitor range area, ensuring no breach on perimeter fences so no predators can get through.Daily collect and dispose of mortality birds.Monitor proper egg handling from sheds to the egg room.Enter production data into the computer daily, weekly and monthly.Analyze production and mortality trends.Provide medications as prescribed by veterinarian when flock has health problems.Report maintenance problems to the assigned maintenance.QualificationsRelevant Diploma or at least three years of proven relevant work experience.Understanding of regulatory and legislative requirements relating to manufacture of food products.Mechanical Engineering knowledge of sophisticated automated feeding and housing equipment.Responsibility for Occupational Health & Safety to ensure high standard of safety, health and wellbeing for all staff and contractors, and compliance with Occupational Safety & Health Act ****.Understanding of various quality systems and customer requirements including HACCP, SQF****, WQA and McDonalds.SalaryApproximately $79,078 per annum.
