The Wangaratta Tech School is an exciting new hub for STEM innovation, set to open its doors in 2026. We are now seeking a passionate and forward-thinking STEM Facilitator to help shape and deliver cutting edge learning experiences for secondary students across the region.
In this dynamic role, you will design, develop, and facilitate hands-on STEM programs that inspire curiosity, creativity, and problem solving. Working closely with teachers, industry partners, and the Tech School team, you will create high-quality learning experiences aligned with contemporary technologies, local workforce needs, and Department of Education priorities.
You will also play a key role in mentoring colleagues, managing program resources and equipment, contributing to strategic planning, and representing the Tech School at regional and state forums. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students, schools, and communities while helping build STEM capability across the region.
As the successful candidate you will have:
* Experience teaching or facilitating learning in STEM or STEAM disciplines, with strong technical capability in two or more STEM areas.
* Program design skills, with the ability to develop engaging, inclusive, and contemporary learning experiences.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and industry partners.
* A proactive, curious, and creative approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and ongoing professional learning.
If you are successful in this role you will be required to provide:
* A current Police Check (date of issue is to be no more than 6 months prior to commencement date)
* A current Working with Children Check - Employee (or proof of application)
* A current Driver's Licence (Car).
Salary for this position will be commensurate with qualifications and teaching experience.
