Job Overview
The position of Commercial Manager is pivotal in supporting the Reeves Plains Energy Hub project, situated north of Adelaide. This exciting project aims to enhance the region's energy security and stability within the power grid, supporting Australia's transition to net-zero emissions.
This role involves managing financial planning, commercial contracts, and contractor interfaces, while fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage project implementation plans, interface arrangements, and ensuring effective budget management.
* Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for the project, contributing to the success of the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and other key initiatives.
* Manage commercial aspects of contracts, while focusing on the interfaces between contractual counterparties, and ensuring compliance and accurate payments.
* Assist the Project Manager with contractor claims.
* Build and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders and contractors, facilitating the successful delivery of the Reeves Plains Energy Hub.
* Contribute to a culture of Zero Harm by implementing HSE policies and monitoring performance.
Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications in finance or a related field, with CA/CPA/FINSIA/CFA certification.
* Strong project management skills with 10+ years of experience in business strategy development.
* Proven ability to analyze financial and non-financial data in complex environments.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities.
* Experience in managing the commercial aspects of multi-contract construction projects is desirable.
* Experience in the energy or utilities sector is desirable.
