The University Department of Rural Health South West
The University Department of Rural Health South West is an academic centre based in the South West of Western Australia which focuses on health education, research and workforce strategies to support the recruitment and retention of health professionals in the region.
About the Opportunity
We are excited to offer this dynamic opportunity for an Exercise Physiologist to make a meaningful difference in the community.
Based in Manjimup, you will supervise students within a multidisciplinary, student-led clinic for older adults, working alongside Occupational Therapy colleagues to support both Exercise Physiology and Occupational Therapy students.
The role also offers opportunities to engage with local health services and contribute to the delivery of rural health and wellbeing-focused student tutorials.
Education and support are provided by experienced UDRH South West clinicians. This position is supported by ECU policies and managed by UDRH South West. Supervisor education and support is provided and ongoing.
About you
Our ideal candidate will have:
Qualification in Exercise Physiology
Membership with ESSA
Evidence of knowledge and ability in community care
Evidence of excellent communication skills
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Willing to attend the Manjimup clinic
Importantly, you will demonstrate personal attributes that align with the University’s values.
