We are looking to appoint a Project Engineer within our Facilities Projects team, following the growth of our contract with Sydney Water (West).
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and timely delivery of Facilities Maintenance projects for Sydney Water. They will work effectively with existing teams, including Project Managers, Supervisors, Subcontractors and trades teams, to deliver works efficiently, safely and to budget.
* Support project management in delivering assigned projects in a timely and cost-effective manner
* Define and manage project scope, ensuring compliance with project requirements and specifications
* Develop and coordinate sub-contractor tender packages
* Liaise, coordinate and manage sub-contractors
* Ensure full compliance with project requirements, particularly project specifications and deviation processes
* Provide technical guidance and coordinate other stakeholders as required
* Manage documentation and compliance
What You Will Need
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering
* Effective communication skills, influencing ability and sound decision-making skills
* Prior experience in projects in an industrial or water facility would be highly desired
* An excellent attitude towards health, safety, environmental and quality outcomes
* Competence in the application of project management principles
* Experience in MS Project desirable
* Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel required
* A full clean driver's licence
