About This Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Manager/Director with expertise in ERP administration, specifically SAP S/4HANA, to lead our IT organization in developing, implementing, and maintaining our technology strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the IT infrastructure, ensuring the security and compliance of our systems, managing vendor relationships, and providing exceptional support to our users. This is a senior leadership role that requires strong technical expertise, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills.

This is an office-based position located in Sydney, Australia.

What You Will Do

IT Strategy & Roadmap:

1. Develop and maintain the IT strategy and roadmap, aligning with the organization's goals and objectives
2. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, making recommendations for future IT investments

Vendor Management:

3. Manage relationships with vendors, including license management, SaaS providers, hardware suppliers, and Managed Service Providers (MSPs)
4. Negotiate contracts, ensure compliance, and optimize costs

Security & Compliance:

5. Collaborate with the security team to implement and uphold security policies and ensure compliance.

Network & Infrastructure:

6. Provide oversight of the network and infrastructure, including WiFi, VPN, servers, and cloud services
7. Ensure the stability, scalability, and performance of our IT systems

Budgeting & Asset Lifecycle Management:

8. Develop and manage the IT budget, forecasting expenses and ensuring cost-effectiveness
9. Oversee asset lifecycle management, including procurement, deployment, and disposal of IT assets (laptops, phones, peripherals)

Escalation & Support:

10. Serve as the escalation point for complex user support issues, providing timely and effective resolution
11. Ensure that user support is delivered in a professional and courteous manner

Documentation & Process Improvement:

12. Develop, maintain, and improve IT documentation, including policies, procedures, and guides
13. Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness

Ticket Allocation & Helpdesk:

14. Oversee the helpdesk and user support functions, including ticket management, walk-up support, and onboarding/offboarding processes
15. Ensure that IT support is delivered in a timely and effective manner

ERP Administration (SAP S/4HANA):

16. Provide technical leadership and expertise in SAP S/4HANA, including system administration, configuration, and maintenance
17. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and implement solutions
18. Manage SAP S/4HANA system landscape, including development, testing, and production environments
19. Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with SAP S/4HANA systems
20. Develop and implement SAP S/4HANA security policies, procedures, and controls
21. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SAP S/4HANA with other systems and applications

SAP S/4HANA Technical Skills:

22. Experience with SAP S/4HANA system administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance
23. Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture, including FI/CO, MM, SD, and HCM modules
24. Experience with SAP S/4HANA security, including role-based access control, authorization, and compliance
25. Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA integration tools, such as SAP PI/PO and Cloud Integration

Device Management:

26. Oversee device setup, configuration, imaging, deployment, and repairs
27. Ensure that all devices are properly configured, maintained, and secured

User Account Management:

28. Manage user accounts, including single sign-on (SSO), Active Directory, Google Workspace/O365, and multi-factor authentication (MFA)

Training & Awareness:

29. Provide training to users on IT tools, security best practices, and SAP S/4HANA systems
30. Promote security awareness and SAP S/4HANA system usage throughout the organization

IT Asset Inventory:

31. Track and update the IT asset inventory, ensuring accuracy and completeness

What We Are Looking For

32. 5+ years of experience in IT management, preferably in a similar industry
33. Strong technical expertise in IT infrastructure, security, and compliance
34. Experience with vendor management, budgeting, and asset lifecycle management
35. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
36. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
37. SAP S/4HANA certification or equivalent experience

How to Stand Out From the Crowd

39. ITIL or CompTIA certifications
40. Experience with cloud services, such as AWS or Azure
41. Familiarity with IT service management tools (Atlassian, Monday, Slack)
