Ignite a culture of excellence as our HSEQ Business Partner for Western Australia. In this dynamic, high-impact role, you'll become the regional architect of safety and quality, partnering with operations to bring HSEQ to life with energy and enthusiasm and transforming regulations into benchmark practices that protect our people and customers.
Responsibilities
* Safety Leadership: Drive a \"Safety First\" culture and lead the regional safety program, balancing daily activities with long-term improvement projects.
* Business Partnership: Partner with internal and external stakeholders across WA facilities to deliver safety outcomes and ensure customer satisfaction.
* Operational Expertise: Be adept with industrial gas processes—production, packaging, and distribution—to safeguard employees, customers, and the community.
* Systems & Compliance: Champion the Air Liquide Industrial Management System and leverage ISO/GMP certifications (9001, 45001, 22000) to drive quality and continuous improvement.
* Regulatory & Social License: Ensure strict compliance with Dangerous Goods regulations and transport requirements to maintain our social license to operate.
* Risk Mitigation: Identify and eliminate hazards across WA sites; collaborate with SMEs (Transport, Process Risk) to implement targeted risk-reduction programs.
* Training & Capability: Oversee the end-to-end induction, training, and qualification program to ensure all workers operate safely and effectively.
* Incident Management: Lead the full incident lifecycle—initial response, reporting, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and action closure—including Return-to-Work coordination.
* Audit & Tools: Promote safety tools (Management of Change, reporting systems) and execute internal/external audit programs to ensure regional compliance.
Qualifications
* HSEQ Expertise: Deep knowledge of HSEQ legislation, standards, and best practices.
* Education: Tertiary qualification in OHS required; Science or Engineering degree preferred.
* Professional Experience: 5+ years in the HSEQ industry with a proven track record in internal auditing (QMS, OHS).
* Influence & Leadership: Strong influencer capable of building collaborative relationships, challenging unsafe behaviors, and driving organizational change.
* Mindset: Proactive, growth-oriented, and high-energy advocate for safety and quality values.
* Technical Proficiency: Tech-savvy and proficient within the Google Workspace ecosystem.
* Must have a valid permanent AU working rights.
