Pharmacist Research Assistant - Clinical Research Position
This is an exciting opportunity for a pharmacist to contribute to practice-based research at Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH). As a research assistant, you will be responsible for carrying out clinical and research activities for the PROACTIVE study.
The PROACTIVE study aims to investigate whether active surveillance of penicillin allergy and proactive delabelling by a pharmacist using existing hospital electronic tools leads to improved delabelling of penicillin allergy compared to passive surveillance.
You will work independently and collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to achieve the goals of the study. Your skills and knowledge in the use of hospital information systems and provision of clinical or pharmacy services to consumers, carers and families in hospital settings will be highly valued.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out clinical assessment/intervention and trial research activities for the PROACTIVE study
* Work independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
* Use hospital information systems to support clinical and research activities
Requirements:
* Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Hold registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia
* Demonstrated skills and knowledge in the use of hospital information systems and provision of clinical or pharmacy services to consumers, carers and families in hospital settings
* Proven ability to work independently and establish effective collaborative working relationships within a multi-disciplinary team
* Demonstrated ability to undertake clinical research activities and/or quality improvement activities

* Remuneration: $40.61 - $60.10 per hour
* Hours Per Week: 8
