BMD Graduate Program: Foundations
The 'Foundations' program at BMD is designed to bridge the gap between formal education and the workforce, providing a clear and supportive path for professional development and long-term success.
Through this program, you will develop foundational career skills in problem-solving, critical thinking, innovation, and team building. Our graduates are offered a career path with adequate support systems to encourage growth and individual contributions.
We provide practical exposure to the construction industry, performance plans designed for growth, and access to business leaders for mentoring.
Program Highlights:
* Attend a three-day all-expenses-paid conference on the Gold Coast with your peers.
* Engage in structured learning through three tailored modules on topics designed to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
* Experience hands-on and in-person learning every six months to build relationships and network with peers from across the country.
* Receive mentoring from BMD's Board of Directors, executive management team, and emerging leaders to build leadership qualities and progress your career.
Your Role as a Graduate Site Engineer:
You will have the opportunity to explore multiple functions of projects, gaining an in-depth understanding of core elements required for delivery. As part of the team, you will play a key role in ensuring all work is delivered in accordance with quality, time, production, safety, and environmental objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Learn about drawings, specifications, and workplace health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) requirements for site-related activities.
* Work as part of a team to deliver core project functions, including purchasing materials, supporting financial functions, submitting progress claims, assisting with quality monitoring, and contributing to creating solutions where needed.
* Maintain a daily diary outlining details of site meetings, discussions, works performed, and inspections.
* Actively participate in training initiatives and skill development programs.
Your motivation will energize our collaborative team across diverse projects in the Northern Territory.

Requirements:
To qualify for this position, you must have completed a Bachelor of Civil/Structural Engineering or Bachelor of Construction Management (or graduating in 2025 or mid-2026).
Candidates will require their own transport to project sites.
Recruitment Process:
April to May 2025 - Submit a 10-minute application including CV and academic transcript.
May to June 2025 - Shortlisted candidates will be contacted to attend an interview with senior leaders.
June to July 2025 - Formal offers to join BMD's graduate program in 2026.
