Role Overview
We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to provide support in a SIL environment. This role is suitable for workers with demonstrated experience supporting participants with behaviours of concern.
Essential Experience
- Minimum 2+ years supporting participants with behaviours of concern
- Experience in SIL or equivalent settings
- Proven ability to follow Behaviour Support Plans
- Experience with aggression, property damage, self-harm, absconding risk
- Experience supporting participants during community access with safety risks

- Early warning sign recognition and proactive intervention
- Strong boundary setting and consistency
- Calm communication under pressure
- High situational awareness and risk anticipation
- Effective teamwork in 1:1 environments
- Strong documentation and handover skills
Operational & Safety Expectations
- Compliance with environmental controls
- Adherence to presentation and safety guidelines
- Commitment to professional boundaries
- No rule-bending to ‘keep the peace’
Desirable Experience
- PBS or behaviour support training
- Experience with authorised restrictive practices

Pay: $35.15 – $38.67 per hour
