Australian Citizen, Ability to obtain Baseline Clearance, Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane role. The Deliverables for the UX/UI Designer/Specialist role include, but are not limited to the following:
Independently tackle ambiguous problems from start to finish using robust design processes. Collaborate closely with other designers, scrum teams, architects, UX researchers and business stakeholders. Understand requirements and technical limitations. Provide creative and holistic thinking across mobile, web and other devices. Understand user needs and transform research insights into design solutions. Contribute to the information architecture, interaction models and UX patterns in an evolving product. Create wireframes, storyboards, flows, and high-fidelity mock-ups using existing visual language & styles. Present design recommendations backed with solid design rationales. Share designs regularly to get feedback in critiques and reviews. Facilitate cross team ideation & workshopping. Produce high-quality UX solutions through wireframes, designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, and prototypes. Skills & Experience To be considered for this role you will have at least 1 year of commercial experience as a UI/UX designer.
Experience with Adobe XD or equivalent tools. Experience conducting testing of prototypes with users and capturing insights and feedback. Experience with Microsoft Fluent Design System and Fluent UI will be highly regarded. Solid understanding of inclusive design principles and experience designing to meet WCAG guidelines, including AA Compliance. Experience designing information architectures and arranging functionality and content into logical and intuitive structures. Experience with Agile software development and project delivery. An online portfolio showcasing the breadth of your skills. Qualifications (mandatory and/or desirable) Tertiary qualifications in Design, Interaction Design, Human Centred Design or similar.
