Toll is seeking a dynamic person with a safety focus to join a professional and successful team in located at East Arm, Darwin. Position is for an experienced HC driver with a preference to someone with an MC licence.
Role will initially be 3 days a week with a view to increased days and hours. Days will vary between Monday - Friday and hours of work will vary between 0600 - 1800 with some weekend work as required.
Role will consist of local deliveries, however some linehaul may be required with notice. Additional rates & allowances will apply for linehaul.
To be considered for this role applicants must:
* Have a current NT Multi Combination Licence with at least 2 years' experience in linehaul/freight
* Preferred experience with 18 Speed Road Ranger
* Strong time management skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to work with or without supervision
* Have good communication skills and have proactive attention to paperwork
* Physically fit to handle repetitive heavy lifting up to 20kgs
* Knowledge of trailer weights and load restraint.
* Be motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to work as part of a team environment
* Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Have a commitment to safe work practices and
* Be able to work in tropical conditions
Special requirements:
* Able to obtain a clear National Police Clearance
* Have or be willing to obtain a Darwin Port Pass
* Have or be willing to obtain a DCAS (Defence Base pass)
* Pass a Drug and Alcohol Screen including random tests as required
* Have a current Driver Medical
* Have or be able to obtain a recent Driver History
