THE OPPORTUNITY
As a HV Cable Jointer you will be integral in supporting our customers in relation to HV Cable terminations. You will be required to attend to and rectify faults in a timely manner, which will ensure minimal loss of supply and disruption to the customer.
YOU'LL NEED THESE TO SUCCEED
Your natural inclination to perform work to a high standard, and willingness to work cohesively with your peers will be complemented by the following:
* A committed attitude to safety; safety is at the heart of our business and an essential core value
* Experience with HV / MV distribution cables
* The ability to carry out electrical testing such as Insulation Resistance, VLF testing etc on Cables
* The ability to self-manage projects
* Ability to work alone in working an industrial/mining services workshop
* Exposure to HV electrical equipment and systems for mining and utilities
* Ability to work underground if required
* Ability to travel away for work all over NSW as part of a maintenance team
EDUCATION
* Electrical trade qualifications with a Qualified Supervisors License (preferred)
* Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems - Distribution Cable Jointing (preferred)
* Understanding of electrical schematic and wiring diagrams
