Category Management Specialist Role
This position involves managing the procurement of equipment, materials, and consumables for Major Projects across various business units. A strong understanding of Category Management methodologies is essential to align with our values, standards, licenses, and regulations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
* Understanding customer requirements and developing partnering relationships with internal customers.
* Ensuring category management activities are aligned with our organizational goals.
* Developing strategic sourcing, category, and contractor management plans.
* Leading concurrent sourcing processes and contractor management activities such as RFXs, negotiations, and risk apportionment/contract drafting.
* Proactively managing contractor relationships and performance.
* Facilitating, leading, and engaging with internal customers to deliver sound contractor management outcomes consistent with our values and processes.
Requirements:
* Relevant qualification in a related discipline (e.g., Business, Law, or Engineering).
* Previous experience in a similar commercial role with strong commercial analysis and management skills.
* Strong relationship management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
* Knowledge of procurement ERP software.
